I’m sorry that I’m calling late I wish I’d gotten through I woke up with a ringing in my ear And it told me to call you There’s a night’s ocean between us A light’s separation Far be it from me to complain But I wish you shared my location Maybe it’s cause I’m missing you Maybe it’s cause I’ve been here too long Maybe it’s cause The wine’s too warm Either way I’ll just sing my song On this cobbled street We will meet At the dawning Paris morning Though we’re apart You’re in my heart At the dawning Of this morning And though you’re miles away Here I must stay Torn at the seams I’ll meet you in dreams Street lights go down Awake comes this town To the dawning Paris Morning Lying in this human locker On the second floor Midnight laughs, bumps in the dark And breakfast seeps under the door The old guard has our locket And every corner whispers your name So I’ll lose myself in our city Til we’re back together again Pre Chorus Chorus And maybe it's 'cause I am missing you And maybe it's 'cause I've been here too long And maybe it's 'cause And maybe it's cause And maybe it's cause The wine is too warm Either way, I'll just sing I'll just sing Chorus

I breathe the winds of change Can you feel them on your skin We always walk the line Of what has and hasn't been Foreign lands lie ahead Hard to understand Tomorrow watches you I'll see you there, my friend Regret will not be your cross to bear I promise you, I swear Regret will not be your cross to bear I promise you, I swear Close your eyes Hold on tight The water’s deep We just dive in Nothing can prepare you When you're ready to begin x 2 Braver than a lion When you were a child Now the magic's gone Where did you lose your smile Only words hold you here Time to let them go Live in the light This story's now your own PRE CHORUS CHORUS Everything changes Nothing remains frozen Even the hardest stone Shaped by the ocean This life you've built And hold so dear Is it, is it Built on fear? PRECHORUS & CHORUS x 2

about

Passerine, a Melbourne dub-disco collective fronted by Phoebe Dubar, first appeared in July of this year with the debut single ‘Ready To Begin’, an infectious live disco number that dragged listeners out of the depths of winter and onto the dance floor, gracing a smorgasbord of blogs in the process.

Still on that disco tip, and just in time for summer, Passerine returns with ‘Paris Morning’, this time collaborating with Sydney-based producer and no stranger to the blogosphere himself, GLOVES on a very tidy remix that’s got midnight in the club written all over it.

The remix comes packaged with the original version, which itself caught the attention of The Aston Shuffle who premiered it on Triple J as well becoming an official selection in taste-making European mixtape The Vibe Guide earlier this year.

“Paris Morning is definitely a switch up from the mass-influx of pop we see today.“- Hilly Dilly
